Meet the management team behind our community

Rob Lee

Executive Director

Rob has a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration with an emphasis on long term care and a bachelor’s degree in registered nursing from Armstrong Atlantic University. Rob has been involved in health care since 1986 and the retirement community industry since 2001. He has served as an RN in an ICU unit, director of an assisted living memory care community and part of The Seabrook for over 17 years. He is the past Chairman of SC Aging Services which represents 36 not-for-profit retirement communities in the state. Born in Savannah and a resident of Bluffton, he is committed to The Seabrook’s long term commitment to the quality of life of every resident.

Logan Wilcox

Director of Facilities

Logan A. Wilcox is The Seabrook’s Director of Facilities. He was born in Wilmington, NC and raised in Charleston, SC. After graduating from the First Baptist School of Charleston, he joined the U.S. Army. While serving, he was stationed all over (Fairbanks, Alaska is his favorite). During his service, Logan earned his degree in Business Management. After serving in the army, he began his career in multifamily start-ups as well as established properties throughout the east coast, earning him a wide and varied knowledge base. He was offered the privilege to be a part of The Seabrook of Hilton Head in 2019. He enjoys the family that he’s made here, from the residents to the staff. Logan states “The Seabrook is not only a wonderful place to work but fulfilling!” During his down time he enjoys a round of golf, cooking on the grill and fishing.

Carolyn Gemmell, RN

Director of Home Health Services

Carolyn Gemmell is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience. She oversees The Seabrook’s Home Health and Wellness department which is available as needed for the residents of The Seabrook. The department is licensed by the state of SC and is directed by Carolyn and staffed by RNs, LPNs and Home Health Aides. The staff is devoted to caring for the home health and wellness needs of the residents. Some of the services include personal care in the home such as meals, light housekeeping, assistance with dressing/bathing, wound care, injections, and medication management. Blood draws for lab work are also performed at The Seabrook and picked up by an outside laboratory.

Joe Agee

Director of Sales

The Director of Sales is responsible for the marketing and selling of Seabrook condominiums and Seabrook memberships by initiating marketing programs including print advertising, social media marketing (Facebook, etc.), Seabrook website, and e-Blasts to databases of marketing partners. The Sales Director must be “hands-on” with those clients who commit to moving to The Seabrook and make sure all the details are covered so it is a smooth transition from the sale of their home to living full-time at The Seabrook.

Peter Marshall, MBA

Administrator | Fraser Health Center

Peter joined the Fraser Health Center in 2014 and considers his position an honor and privilege to serve not only Seabrook residents, but the community at-large as well. He has over 37 years of experience in Long-Term Care Administration in Maine, Utah and South Carolina. He holds an MBA with Advanced Study Credential in Health Care Administration. He is a Fellow of American College of Health Care Administrators.

Kathy Christian, RN, BSHM, DON

Director of Nursing, Fraser Health Center

Kathy has been a healthcare professional for 26 years with critical care experience in South Carolina. She joined the Fraser Health Center as a Registered Nurse in 2003 and was promoted to Director of Nursing in 2017. She works closely with the community hospital and other local care facilities to help facilitate admissions into Fraser Health Care. Kathy’s approach to nursing is simple: advocate for the patient as though they were your family, while providing the highest quality of care possible.

Felicia Smith

Director of Resident Services

Felicia has been part of The Seabrook family for 13 years. She started out in the Facilities/Maintenance Department. In 2013 she was promoted to Assistant to the Director of Resident Services. After five years in that role, she became the new Director of Resident Services. Felica oversees all the resident social and physical activities, brings in talent to entertain everyone and sets up off-site field trips. She publishes The Seabrook’s “Scoop” newsletter and maintains the calendar everyone relies on to get to their activities and events. She is central to orientating all new residents and giving them “the lay of the land” of The Seabrook culture and how it all works. She also coordinates the residents’ transportation (via car or bus) so they can get to their doctor appointments, buy groceries, handle their banking needs, etc.

Felicia lives in Ridgeland, SC and has three children and four grandchildren. Speaking of “grand”, she is fond of saying her job is amazing because she has an endless amount of grandparents!

Lea Lapsley

Director of Dietary and Dining Services

Lea Lapsley, The Seabrook’s Director of Dietary & Dining Services, is a fourth generation restaurateur. Lea joined the Seabrook Culinary team in 1996 and has a lifetime of experience in the culinary arena.
