Tonya joined the Seabrook team in August of 2022. As the director of Home Health and Wellness, she is responsible for promoting wellness and preventing illness among the Independent Living residents. She actively engages in health promotion initiatives, wellness programs and education sessions that empower residents to make informed decisions about their health.
Tonya brings over 17 years nursing experience, having worked as an ER/Trauma nurse in trauma centers across the country. She earned her associate degree in nursing at the Technical College of the Lowcountry and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 2016 she obtained certification as a board-certified Emergency Nurse.
Tonya is a South Carolina native. She lives in Beaufort with her husband, their special needs cat and senior dog, Cambria. Her hobbies include traveling, boating and lazy days on the beach.
